WILDCARD: EXETER | HEAT C (INDIE · PUNK)

The team behind Bristol's biggest Battle of the Bands (We Need Bands) are bringing their competition to Exeter for the very first time! After a successful test event back in February, Wildcard launches in Exeter with a mini-competition in Autumn 2025. Eighteen bands will compete for our 2025 prize table:

A guest headline slot at Thekla in Bristol (as part of the 2026 Underdog series).
A single recording with Studio54
A press photo shoot with Apertography
The winning band will be decided 50/50 between our industry judges and audience votes - buy your ticket in advance to get bonus votes at the event!

The top-scoring band from each heat will automatically go through to the Grand Final on Saturday 15th November. Two Wildcards will also join the line-up at the Grand Final: the band with the best overall judge's score, and the band with the best overall audience score.
